Jace's first tball game of the season was Saturday. It was so darn cute!! He played very well. He listened to his coach and stayed focus on what he was supposed to be doing. He worked hard while playing in the field, and hit the ball well. We are so proud of him! We are the Yankees or "Ankees" as Jace says. We have a good little team, and we are looking forward to a very fun tball season!
Jace, you are loving tball! I thought I would post a couple of videos of you playing today. You are hitting the ball very well. Today, you had to hit off the tee because the coach wasn't allowed to pitch to you guys. Usually, the coach pitches two pitches, and if you don't hit off the pitch then you hit off the tee. Last game, you hit a double off the pitch! Today, you hit two doubles off the tee. You played pitcher and first base today and did awesome at both positions. You are stopping the ball well and learning to throw it to first. You even stopped a ball, threw it to first, and the first baseman caught it for an out! That was really exciting since that doesn't happen much at this age. You are constantly talking about baseball, asking when your games are, and how many ground balls you are going to get. It's so fun watching you having fun and learning so much. I must say, we got lucky this year with an amazing coach who really knows what he is doing. The kids are improving with every practice. Go Yankees!
Your first season of tball has come to an end! What a fun time you had, Jace! You learned so much and did very well! You are hitting off the pitch and fielding the ball well. Your favorite position to play was first base. Last Saturday after the final game, your team had a pizza party. You got your trophy that you had been waiting for the entire season. You were so excited! This is your first trophy, and what a great trophy it is! I don't remember getting trophies like these when I was a child. Your coach said something about each child when he was handing them out, which was so sweet. Coach Chuck was an amazing coach and taught all you boys so much. We will miss him next year, as he will be moving up with his boys. But maybe we'll see him again at the coach's pitch level. So proud of you, Jace! Love you our little baseball player!
Jace, you have been asking to play tennis like your daddy. You are doing a tennis lessons at the gym, and daddy is working with you at our neighborhood tennis court. You are doing great and having a blast!
Jace is having a blast playing soccer! He is doing great and learning a lot. He plays on Mondays and Wednesdays. They practice for 30 minutes and play a 30 minute game. It's very non-competitive which is great! Everyone gets to touch the ball and score goals since there is no goalie. Of course, Jace always keeps score and knows if his team wins or loses. That is his competitive nature. We are so proud of you, our little soccer player!
Tball has begun, and we are having a blast! Our first game was last Saturday! This year we are the Marlins. Jace has an awesome coach, Coach Mandi. She is so good with the kids and is teaching them a lot about baseball. Jace is one of the older kids this year, so he is stepping up and really helping out his team. He is playing first base or pitcher. Last week, he got a ton of outs at first base. He also stopped some grounders and threw the ball to first base for outs. He hit the ball very well too! Jace, you love baseball! Jerod, you are the bat boy this year, but in the fall you will be old enough to play! It's gonna be a great season!!
This post is a little late....our tball season ended about a month ago. What a fantastic season we had! Coach Mandi was an amazing coach and did so much with our kiddos. They had a blast and learned so much!
